Exceptional, customized service for every person we serve is the hallmark of our care and we deliver that care wherever our patients are.

We care for anyone with any life-limiting illness or disease and if the patient has no insurance or other financial resources, we provide care without charge.

Hospice of the Comforter is the only nonprofit hospice serving patients and their families in Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties.

When the quantity of life is limited, Hospice of the Comforter helps patients and families focus on the quality of life. Our highly regarded teams care for patients in their own homes or in local nursing homes and hospitals, helping them live life to the fullest. We manage pain and enable our patients to live alert, pain-free lives with their families and friends.

Our services provide the emotional, physical and spiritual support you and your loved ones need to live well, with the specialized information and support you need. A customized care plan will be made for you by a compassionate team of people, including: your primary physician, a hospice doctor, nurses, chaplains, certified home health aides, nursing assistants, counselors, social workers and volunteers.

Hospice House

Hospice House is a warm, comfortable setting in which hospice patients receive the highest quality hospice care. This state of the art facility is the only free-standing inpatient Hospice House serving Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties. Hospice House is intended for short-term, acute care for our patients requiring specialized care. Visitors are welcome 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Patients receive care in one of the 16 comfortably furnished private care suites that accommodate an overnight visitor. Each private suite features cozy seating areas, lots of natural light and access to outdoor covered porches. Hospice House also offers a welcoming family dining area, children’s play area and a chapel. It is equipped with the latest in technology for the convenience and comfort of our patients and their families, including a sound masking system throughout the building.

Educational Opportunities:

Our highly trained educators offer a variety of topics addressing end-of-life issues and aging. Sample topics include grief, work/life balance, care giving and much more. Presentations can be customized to fit your need, and presented to any audience size at your choice location. Bereavement Services:

From private counseling to support groups, our bereavement center focuses on helping both children and adults cope with grief. Call 407-379-0490 to schedule an appointment.
