Senior at Adult Family Care Home

An Adult Family Care Home provides housing for seniors in a full-time, family-type living arrangement in a private residence for up to five seniors who do not need 24-hour nursing supervision. The homeowner, who lives with the residents, provides elder care, meals, general supervision, and assistance with personal care services and medications, much like a live in caregiver. This is an alternate arrangement for senior care and support, but generally does not provide the full range of services and type of structured activities found in Assisted Living Communities. Residents pay a monthly fee to live in these homes.
