Patient receiving Medical Home Care

There are times when seniors may need extra medical care in their homes. This is especially important when seniors need continuity of care after a stay in a hospital or rehabilitation center.

Medical Home Care (also known as Home Health Care) organizations can send medical personnel to a senior’s residence to provide senior services such as administering medications, giving injections, managing IVs, checking blood pressure or blood glucose, and changing wound dressings. Physical, occupational, and speech therapists are also available. Some home care agencies offer non-medical services as well.
